The Vision

The emphasis placed by God on this church is that we would be a people who earnestly covet the Presence of God.  This emphasis colors the vision throughout.

There are five major components connected with the vision. Shekinah Tabernacle is:

  • A House of Prayer
  • A House of Bread
  • A House of Outreach
  • A House of Worship
  • A House of Healing

A House of Prayer

We are a church who believes in the power, importance and effectiveness of prayer. To that end, we will set aside times for corporate prayer.

Daily intercession is a must—praying for each person in the congregation and all of the leadership.

Intercession includes regular times of intercession for family members, the city, our country, the nations, Israel, the lost and the community.

Fasting is integral to this church with designated days and times for corporate fasting.

A House of Bread

Worship services will be held at least twice a week with an emphasis on teaching and preaching the word of God.

New convert classes and new member classes are mandatory in which instruction is given from the word of God to help them to grow in understanding and knowledge of God.

Marilynn J. Davis Christian Ministries International School of the Bible will be suggested as one external source of Bible education.

Bible reading plans will be given to church members at the beginning of each New Year.

The youth will be instructed from the Word of God in a way that is relevant for them.

Conferences and other types of gatherings for men, women, youth and the church corporate will be held as another means of instruction from the word of God.

A House of Outreach

Reaching out beyond the walls of the church is important to our congregation. Church members will be strongly encouraged to witness to the lost on a regular basis.

We will spread the gospel to those in prisons, and in our communities and to the nations with the expectation that God will save those who are bound.

A House of Worship

We will worship through singing, dancing, drama motivated by our devotion to God and a longing for more of God’s presence.

We will guard God’s presence by worshipping God with our obedience, surrender and manner of living and by honoring it above our gifts and ministries.

A House of Healing

Miracle services will be held on a monthly basis. Physical healings will be expected on a regular basis.

The laying on of hands to heal the sick will be a common occurrence in the house.

Healings and miracles will be emphasized as one of the benefits of salvation through demonstration and through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God.
